Terms of Service — Social Embed to WP

These Terms govern your purchase and use of the Social Embed to WP WordPress plugin (“the Plugin”) and the license/sync services Ascend Digital operates to support it (“the Service”). By purchasing a license, installing the Plugin, or clicking “Activate License,” you agree to these Terms.
1. What You’re Getting
The Plugin is a WordPress plugin that syncs photos from a Facebook Page you control into a gallery on your own WordPress site. A paid license unlocks:
- Ongoing sync of Facebook photos into your site
- Access to the “Connect with Facebook” login flow
- Software updates for as long as your license is active
- The license validation and Facebook-sync relay infrastructure operated by Ascend Digital
The Plugin’s source code runs on your own server once installed — Ascend Digital’s servers are only involved for license checks, Facebook sync requests, and delivering updates, as described in the .
2. License Grant and Restrictions
A license entitles you to:
- Install and activate the Plugin on one (1) WordPress site at a time, matching the activation limit shown at purchase
- Deactivate your license on one site and reactivate it on another, as often as you like
- Receive updates and sync functionality for as long as your subscription remains active
You may not:
- Share, sell, sublicense, or publish your license key
- Activate the same license key on more than one site simultaneously (the system enforces this automatically)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Plugin to circumvent license validation
- Redistribute the Plugin’s source code, in whole or in part, outside your own licensed use
- Use the Plugin in a manner that violates Meta/Facebook’s own Platform Terms or Developer Policies (see Section 6)
Violation of these restrictions may result in license revocation without refund.
3. Fees, Billing, and Renewal
- Licenses are billed on a recurring subscription basis (e.g., monthly or annually, as selected at purchase) and processed by Stripe. Ascend Digital never receives or stores your payment card details.
- Your subscription automatically renews at the then-current price until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time; your license remains active through the end of the paid period and will not renew afterward.
- Prices may change with reasonable advance notice for future billing cycles; changes do not apply retroactively to a period you’ve already paid for.
Refunds

4. Cancellation and Termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Ascend Digital may suspend or terminate your license if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent payment activity, or misuse the Service (including activity that causes Meta/Facebook to restrict or revoke API access used by the Service).
- Upon termination, sync functionality and update access stop; the Plugin’s code already installed on your site is not remotely disabled or removed, and any photos already synced to your Media Library remain yours.
5. Availability and Support
The Service depends on third parties outside Ascend Digital’s control — notably Meta/Facebook’s Graph API, Stripe, and AWS. Ascend Digital does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and is not responsible for outages, API changes, rate limits, or policy changes imposed by these third parties, including if Meta suspends or changes access to Page permissions the Service relies on.
Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis via the contact method in Section 10.
6. Your Facebook Page and Meta’s Own Terms
You are solely responsible for:
- Having the right to connect and sync content from the Facebook Page(s) you configure
- Complying with Meta’s Platform Terms, Developer Policies, and Community Standards in how you use your Page and the content synced from it
- Any consequences of Meta restricting your Page, app permissions, or account, whether or not related to your use of the Plugin
The Plugin is not created by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Meta Platforms, Inc. “Facebook” and “Meta” are trademarks of their respective owner.
7. Intellectual Property
Ascend Digital retains all ownership of the Plugin’s code, the license server, and associated trademarks. Purchasing a license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Plugin as described in Section 2 — it does not transfer ownership of the software to you.
Photos synced from your Facebook Page, and any content you create using the Plugin, remain your own property (or that of the original rights holder) — Ascend Digital claims no ownership over synced content.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Plugin and Service are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Ascend Digital does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Facebook’s API will remain available or unchanged.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascend Digital’s total liability arising out of or related to the Plugin or Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Ascend Digital is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as the Plugin or Service changes. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and noted in the Plugin’s changelog. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
